Google New Music Search Feature
Google at the moment has five “partners” who were handpicked by the above group which were released in version 1.
Google is currently starting to speak with their partners and get feedback on the service.
They are open to have additional partners, but they need to be chosen by the Google group as there is a great deal of hand holding which needs to take place at this stage and they have limited resources to do so. In future they anticipate an open platform, but for the moment it is based on who they choose.
Out of the five partners two are “pop up and play back” lala and imeem and the rest of the partners are links.
Google are looking for a page which holds content around the actual search being performed. I.e. an artist page, which is rich in content and ensures the customer, will have a good user experience. In short they are looking at the richness of the UI.
They would like a free stream to accompany the search. The “longer the better” if we are able to provide more than a 30 second clip.
Luckily we have the page they are looking for … We have the streaming guts to blow your mind…
