Xerox has filed a lawsuit with Google and Yahoo being the main targets. Xerox claim the search engine giants violate their company’s patent on search integration technology. This technology includes the use of automatically generated queries based on keyword searches.
Google and Yahoo both use this technology in their ad content networks while also using tech that modifies pages based on user reviews which is also claimed as a patent of Xerox.
Google have issued a statement strongly refuting the Xerox claim while Yahoo are yet to respond to this issue.
